Structural Features
Liquid Intake
Before starting, the pump casing must be fully filled. The motor drives the pump shaft to rotate, creating a low-pressure zone at the center of the impeller. Liquid, under atmospheric pressure, enters the center of the impeller through the axial inlet.
Energy Conversion
As the impeller rotates at high speed, the liquid moves in a circular motion under the action of the blades, acquiring kinetic energy and static pressure energy. This energy is then flung from the center of the impeller toward the edges, increasing both flow rate and pressure.
Pressure Increase and Discharge
After the liquid enters the spiral pump casing, the flow path expands, slowing its flow rate. Some of the kinetic energy is converted into static pressure energy, ultimately discharging through the radial outlet. Simultaneously, a low-pressure zone continues to form at the center of the impeller, maintaining liquid circulation and intake.
