Hydraulic Dredge Pump

Hydraulic Dredge Pump

Pump type: hydraulic dredge pump uses horizontal slurry dredge pump for sand, mud, tailings, and high-solid water mixture.
Main wear parts: impeller, throat bush, frame plate liner insert, and volute; material can be matched with the slurry condition.
Common use: dredging work, mine slurry transfer, river silt handling, and heavy sediment movement.

Description

A hydraulic dredge pump is a heavy slurry pump used to move water mixed with sand, mud, gravel, tailings, or other hard particles. It is not made for clean water only. The pump body, impeller, liner, and suction part have to face constant rubbing during work, so the wet-end material and the flow passage shape matter a lot.

The hydraulic dredge pump can be used on dredging platforms, river cleaning jobs, tailing ponds, sand pumping sites, and other places where the mixture is thick and uneven. High chromium alloy casing and wear parts help the pump handle abrasion. For harder service, ceramic wet-end parts made with silicon-nitride and silicon-carbide composite material can also be used for longer wear life.

The core value of this product is steady slurry passing. The large inlet and strong casing help reduce blocking when the media contains fine hard particles. The pump can also be checked by sections, so worn parts such as the impeller, throat bush, and liner can be replaced without changing the whole unit.

Components

The pump set usually includes the pump casing, impeller, liner, throat bush, shaft parts, bearing part, seal part, base frame, and matched inlet and outlet connection. For a hydraulic dredge pump, the wear part list should be checked before shipment because site downtime is often caused by small parts, not only by the pump body.

Main Applications

Dredging projects that move river silt, sand, mud, or mixed sediment.

01

Mining sites for concentrates, tailings, and slurry with fine hard particles.

02

Metallurgy work where slag slurry or hot abrasive liquid needs transfer.

03

Cement and mortar handling, including lime slurry and other grinding media.

FAQ

Q: What media can this pump handle?

A: It is made for slurry with sand, mud, tailings, slag, or other solid particles. The exact material choice should follow the slurry hardness, particle size, and working hours.

Q: Can ceramic wet-end parts be used?

A: Yes. Ceramic impeller, throat bush, frame plate liner insert, and volute can be used when the slurry is highly abrasive and the site wants longer wear life.

Q: What should be checked before ordering?

A: Check flow demand, head, slurry density, particle size, drive method, pipe size, and whether the pump works on a platform, in a pit, or near a dredging line.

Q: Is the pump easy to maintain?

A: The main wearing parts can be replaced by section. Keeping spare impellers, liners, throat bushes, and seal parts is helpful for continuous site work.
